Family reunion

Some of these faces may be familiar! Marc’s Dad came over for a visit from South Africa, along with his brother, sister and their families. What a lovely way to remember this trip, by having some professional images taken here on the Gold Coast. We had a lot of fun making the kids laugh that’s for sure! Enjoy this lovely family portrait shoot   Sx

Welcome to the world, little Levi

Its always a pleasure photographing this gorgeous family! These guys have now featured in 4 family portrait shoots with This Day Photography, but these shoots were extra special. Welcome little Levi! Bianca looked stunning at her maternity/family shoot, and even more radiant just days after Levi’s birth! Little Josh is a very proud big brother, and I wish this lovely family all the best with their 2 gorgeous boys!   Sx

Jean Aalbregt - Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

Adele’s beautiful family

A beautiful sun kissed evening + a smiley happy family family = stunning images like these.  Adele’s hubby and daughters had a great time recently when we headed to The Spit on the Gold Coast for their family portrait shoot.

Adele has a beautiful canvas wall print hanging proudly in her home now…lovely memories that will last forever.

A Mum and her gorgeous twins

Nicole and her VERY energetic twins spent a few hours with me recently playing, running and just generally doing what 3 year old twins do! These 2 definitely kept me on my toes. I quickly realised that sitting quietly was not going to be an option for this family portrait shoot, as there was just too much to see and do! So I captured them just as they are…funny, giggly, happy, playful. And their Mum couldn’t be happier with the beautiful results! Nicole now has a gorgeous canvas wall print of the 3 of them on her wall….priceless.   Sx

Michelle’s family shoot

Michelle wanted some beautiful images of her own family, as well as with her own Mum and Grandfather. I’m sure her kids will value these images for many years to come…how nice to have all the generations in one photo.

We went to a lovely little spot to do their family portrait session, and capture some lovely memories for everyone.

Enjoy these   Sx

Williams Family shoot

One of my favourite family portrait shoots so far this year! So easy and fun. We headed to Fingal headland to capture these gorgeous shots of Clara, Nathan and their beautiful blue eyed kids (and their four legged fur baby Sophie, who was the easiest dog I have  ever photographed!) The kids had a great time amongst the trees and on the beach. We headed up to the headland just on sunset to capture the last images, then walked back in the dark with Miss Evie leading us back by torch. Enjoy this collection of beautiful images       Sx

Helen McGettigan - What an amazing lot of family photos they are all amazing Sophie looks just as well behaved as the 3 gorgeous children – job well done 👍🏻

Carrie and John – Currumbin Beach Wedding

Carrie and John were recently married on a lovely sunny winters day on the Gold Coast. Currumbin Beach was the setting for their small and very heartfelt wedding, and Carrie was joined by 4 very gorgeous flower girls as she was walked down the aisle by her Dad. Carrie’s smile really said it all, it was such a lovely  ceremony, followed by a group photo, smaller group photos, then a sunset mini session on the beach with the bride and groom.

Carrie and John then headed across the road to devour some amazing food and celebrate with their closest friends and family at Elephant Rock Cafe. They will be joined very soon by their first baby, due in a few months time. I wish them all the best for the future!    Sx

Carrie - John and I were absolutely delighted with our photos from Stacey and This Day Photography! We are so grateful to have such beautiful images captured and we will cherish these forever.

We are family

2 sisters, their families and their parents, all together for a beautiful professional shoot. I was so happy with what I captured for these guys, and couldn’t believe how easy it was considering the ages of the 2 youngest. What a happy, relaxed shoot it was, and I think this really can be seen in these beautiful images        Sx

Extended family on the beach

This is Jan and her lovely family, all enjoying a catchup on the Gold Coast and some much needed family time.

I have photographed a lot of big family groups who are on holiday together on the Gold Coast. Our amazing weather and beaches make it the ideal spot for family reunions and holidays. You can’t go past those beautiful summer nights on the beach with a golden glow and lots of awesome clouds!    Sx

Family shoot – Sheraton Mirage

When there’s something to celebrate (Such as a 50th wedding anniversary…congrats Fran and Graham!!) what nicer way to capture it than by having some professional photos done. This lovely family shoot was done around the Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast, and on the surrounding beach so that we could catch the last of the days lovely soft light. Enjoy   Sx

Little Miss Evie

Miss Evie was only a few weeks old when we photographed her with her doting big sister and Mum and Dad. If you would like a newborn shoot done, I am more than happy to come to your home to capture some natural images of your precious bundle in the comfort of your own house. These sessions are typically called “lifestyle sessions” because we get to capture you just doing what you do, at home. I keep the amount of props to a minimum so that we can focus on you babies natural cuteness! Enjoy this lovely shoot.   Sx

Simone and her family

I love doing extended family photo shoots… what a great idea to get everyone together for some professional photos that you will cherish forever.

I always make sure I do as many combinations as I can so that every shot is covered and you have plenty of beautiful images to choose from. Enjoy these    Sx

Khushbu and Hairen couple shoot

This lovely couple wanted to celebrate their recent wedding with a gorgeous couple shoot on the Gold Coast. I really recommend having a couple shoot done, whether you are recently engaged, celebrating an anniversary or just celebrating being in love (aaaaw) The location for your shoot is completely up to you. You can also theme your shoot, include your pets and also have some clothing changes if you like.  Enjoy this lovely shoot   Sx

Kim and her family

Kim wanted some beautiful memories of her little family plus both sets of grandparents, so we headed to a few favourite spots to capture some lovely moments.

This was such a nice family portrait shoot, I really enjoyed capturing little Magnus with not only his Mum and Dad, but his grandparents as well. I’m sure this family will cherish these images for always.

Christine and her boys

I love to see clients again, so I had a great time capturing Christine and her boys for a family portrait on the Gold Coast a few weeks ago. I and the pleasure of capturing Christine and Kevin’s gorgeous country wedding a few years ago now (See their wedding photos here)

We had such a great afternoon at The Spit capturing these images, and Hayden and Caleb could seriously not be any cuter! I can’t wait to see the gorgeous canvas set and acrylic up on their walls. Enjoy these beautiful pics.   sx

Caitlin and Lila

I loved everything about this shoot!

We had beautiful soft light and a lovely country feel location for this shoot with Caitlin, her gorgeous dog Lyla, and boyfriend Earl.

As Lyla is Caitlin’s “furbaby” it was great to be able to incorporate her into the shoot, and she behaved beautifully! Enjoy these gorgeous images.         Sx

Martin Family Shoot

It was such a pleasure to capture beautiful memories (twice) for this gorgeous family down at Currumbin Beach. We shot there the second time to include Brett’s two lovely daughters in their family portraits, who were on the Gold Coast on holidays. As always, the landscape at Currumbin beach provided an awesome backdrop for this lovely family shoot. Enjoy these   Sx

The golden hour – combined family shoot

Kim and her two daughters Krystal and Natarsha brought their beautiful families along for a combined family portrait session, and the results were stunning!

I loved everything about this shoot! We were lucky enough to have beautiful golden light just when we wanted it, and the 3 cousins were happy to play and have fun in the park before we headed down to the Spit, where we finished up our session on the beach in front of the pier. I’m sure Kim will cherish these beautiful images of herself with her daughters and grandchildren forever.    Sx

My favourite images of 2015

Its so hard putting together a favourites compilation! But here are some…..

2015 was such a great year for me professionally, with more beautiful family and kids portrait shoots (here on the always stunning Gold Coast as well as Brisbane) and lovely weddings captured. I was lucky enough to have been asked to shoot not one, but two international weddings (in the UK and in Mexico) which were done in the same trip back in June 2015. Wow! I still pinch myself that I was lucky enough to be able to do that!

So these images are my favourites for a whole variety of reasons…some I just loved all round (the colours, the location, the way mother nature helped me out just perfectly, etc). Some I loved because I was personally connected to them (my very good friends Tom and Michelle were married in Worthing, UK and I still get teary when I look at certain images, because I was there and I felt the emotions too.)  When Tom and Michelle opened their wedding images package all the way over in the UK, they videoed it, and Michelle’s reaction was priceless, and there were tears (good ones!) from both her and I.

Other images I love because I know that I have managed to capture a personality or a connection just right, or was able to photograph families all together in one beautiful location for the first time in many many years….and these images of course became my clients favourites as well. Moments in time that can be relived and enjoyed for years to come.

I hope you enjoy looking at this collection of my favourite images from 2015

Stacey x

Family shoot – Tampa

I had the privilege of photographing my fabulous friend Katie and her beautiful family while I was on a working holiday in the USA in June. This gorgeous family portrait shoot was done on the grounds of the Tampa University in Florida on a very humid, spring afternoon. What a great place to shoot! Awesome gardens and buildings and plenty of lovely garden beds for adorable Miss Aila (who’s 19 months old) to play in. Enjoy this lovely collection of images.   Sx

August 1, 2015 - 2:18 am

Jean Aalbregt - These are just gorgeous shots. My favourite is the black and white with bunny and basket – so cute! I can imagine your friends will be very happy with this beautiful family shoot. xx

August 1, 2015 - 4:22 am

Lynne & Jon McCosker - You have outdone yourself Stacey, they are all SENSATIONAL! All sooooo good it’s hard to choose!!!

A suprise birthday shoot

Angela contacted me and wanted to do something really special for her friend Emma’s birthday while they were on holiday on the Gold Coast. And, it was also her birthday the next day! Double celebration! What a great idea to have a combined family portrait shoot to mark the occasion! There was champagne, lots of laughs and a beautiful sunset when when did this lovely shoot on Burleigh Beach. Enjoy these gorgeous images   Sx

November 11, 2015 - 6:10 am

Angela - Stacey, I can’t thank you enough for so perfectly capturing the true essence of our 30th birthday week in this photo shoot. I am so grateful to have these images to look back on forever – they are absolutely stunning & the hardest part was picking the photos to keep, as we loved them all!! You made everything so easy for us, as clients and I would not hesitate to recommend you as a photographer for any occasion 😊

The Long Family

This lovely family wanted to capture some memories with their (very pretty) dogs Roxy and Pepper. We headed to a few favourite spots of mine here on the Gold Coast for their family portrait shoot. Pretty golden light, long grass, a bridge and a great old heritage building meant that we got lots of lovely images …. maybe too many for them to choose! They now have some gorgeous acrylic wall art for their home to treasure forever. It was such a pleasure capturing these images for them!   Sx

October 30, 2015 - 9:48 am

Shannon, Matt and Isaac Long - Thank you SO much for helping us create these wonderful memories with our 2 beautiful dogs – they will make fantastic Christmas gifts. This has been something we have wanted to do, as a family, for a long time. It was a lot of fun on the day and your work is outstanding. We have had amazing feedback from family and friends. They will look incredible on our wall in the entrance to our home. Thank you again.

Holiday portraits

This lovely family from Melbourne decided to have a beautiful professional shoot done while they were holidaying on the Gold Coast. Kerry was after lovely beach shoots and a tropical feel to her family shoot. Despite some rain leading up to the day, we were able to capture some gorgeous images around the beach at Tallebudgera on the Gold Coast. Enjoy this lovely family shoot.   Sx

Renee and Mike – married in Mexico

My third international wedding took place in a beautiful resort in Los Cabos in Mexico. Wow, what an amazing experience and such a gorgeous location!

Renee and Mike were married in front of their friends and family on the grounds of the RIU Palace Resort, where they were all staying and enjoying a lovely holiday at the same time! Whats not to like about a destination wedding! Renee and Mike had stayed at the same resort before and fell in love with the amazing setting of beautiful blue sea and mountains, which certainly made for some stunning photos later in the day.

Renee looked amazing in her Rosa Clara gown, and all of her beautiful details and accessories matched perfectly. All 6 of her bridesmaids (and her gorgeous flowergirl Elin) helped her get ready, then it was time to walk out and marry her handsome groom on a very sunny, hot saturday afternoon. Their heartfelt ceremony was beautiful (and a little funny, thanks to their celebrant on the day) and once it was sealed with a kiss, the celebrations began with plenty of champagne to quench everyone’s thirst. Renee and Mike’s beautiful shoot with their bridal party was done around the grounds of the resort and in the stunning foyer…we didn’t have to look too hard to find beautiful backdrops. Later in the evening their dinner reception took place at the bottom of the resort with the sound of the beach behind us. It really was stunning, and everyone had a fantastic night (including me!)

I had such a great time capturing the wedding of such a beautiful loved up couple! Thanks Renee and Mike, and happy married life to you both! I will be visiting Mexico again for sure…… Sx

Michelle and Tom – a UK wedding

To say that I felt privileged to shoot Michelle and Tom’s beautiful UK wedding is a pretty big understatement. How lucky was I, to be flown from Australia to the UK to capture the special day of two of my closest friends!! Wow, such and honour, and such an amazing day!

Michelle and Tom’s love story started about 12 years ago when they met in Australia when Michelle was on holiday. Tom claims it was love at first sight for him, and they quickly became inseperable. Over the past 10 years they’ve travelled, and worked together, making lifelong friends wherever they ended up living. (PS. Michelle and Tom, PLEASE come back to Australia!!) Always together, in love, and always dreaming of the day that they would marry.

After what seemed like the world’s longest engagement, they were married in the quaint seaside town of Worthing, in the Worthing Dome’s Whispering Gallery at the top of the building. The building itself, which is also a cinema, is a 100 year old edwardian building, and full of character. Their nearest and dearest, who had all waited sooo patiently for this day, were all there (some having travelled far and wide to see this gorgeous pair finally tie the knot!) What a gorgeous, heart felt, emotional and happy day! The sun was shining and filled the room as they said their vows and sealed the deal with a very intense (faint inducing!) kiss. It was then champagne and congratulations before we headed out for their photo shoot around the pier in Worthing. Such beautiful shots, I could have gone on for hours, I really the love the feel and look of the pier, very cool! Their dinner reception was also held in the Worthing Dome, and everyone had an amazing time eating, dancing and enjoying the fun atmosphere that Michelle and Tom had created.

Guys, all my love and thanks! It was such a special experience to capture your long awaited day. I will remember it forever as one of the most full of love, happiest wedding days that I have ever been a part of. I still get teary when I look at your images…….    Sx

A beautiful Kingscliff wedding

On the day of Rosie and Steve’s lovely laid back Kingscliff wedding, you wouldn’t know that days previously there were some pretty crazy storms happening.  Their love filled beach wedding was full of laughs and plenty of sunshine, the only hitch being the hasty relocation of their beach setup due to an incoming tide!

Rosie and her bridesmaids were relaxed and happy, getting ready at a nearby hotel in Kingscliff, as were Steve and the boys who were in the same hotel. Both Rosie and Steve’s Mum where on hand to help with the preparations, and there seemed to be no nerves at all…a very relaxed and chilled out morning!

Rosie and Steve were married  at South beach at Sutherland Point, Kingscliff. There were plenty of laughs, and a few tears, as they said their vows in front of their families and closest friends. Their beautiful photoshoot was done on and around the beach, and as the sun set, we headed over to the Kingscliff Surfclub for their reception.

It was such a pleasure capturing the day of this very fun and happy couple! I wish you guys all the best for married life together.   xxx S

The Patch Family – Portrait Shoot

This is the third time I’ve photographed this gorgeous little family.  First a pregnancy shoot (see here) then little miss Maya when she was just 6 months old and cute as a button (see here).. She’s growing up fast, is still extremely cute, and now has a little brother Flynn, who has definately doubled the cuteness quota of the family! Those eyes, and that cheeky little smile!!!

I love to capture little families like the Patches just doing their thing…giggles, playing, snuggles and kisses. This beautiful shoot encaptured all of those things. Once again, it was a pleasure to capture them…I can’t wait for the next shoot! Enjoy this gorgeous family portrait shoot at Tallebudgeera on the Gold Coast    Sx

Family celebration photo shoot

This lovely family all came together on holidays to celebrate Pamela’s birthday.

I had a lovely time down at Currumbin beach capturing them all together, as well as all 9 grandkids together, and each family group as well. We made the most of the golden afternoon light, and the beautiful surroundings with the rocks and the beach.

What a great way to remember such a lovely occasion and special birthday. As well as some other gorgeous products, these guys will have some beautiful wall prints of their favourite images to grace their walls soon! Enjoy this lovely shoot    Sx

Engagement shoot – Gold Coast

This gorgeous engagement shoot for Rica and Dan was done at The Spit on the beautiful Gold Coast. What more could you want..beautiful soft light, sunflare, lush forest and amazing beach. These guys were such a pleasure to photograph, I wish them all the best for their upcoming wedding day!   Sx

Family Shoot – Conningham Beach

I had the pleasure of photographing these two gorgeous families when I was down In Tasmania in December. This shoot was done in Conningham Beach (Southern Tasmania) which is a lovely little spot that I have used before for family portraits. What a beautiful way for Belinda’s sister (who lives in the UK) to remember her time in Tassie with her family. All the kids were equally adorable, but Bertie really worked his cheeky charm (very cute!) Enjoy this lovely combined family shoot.    Sx

A puppy named Indie

Do you love dogs? Do you love puppies? Prepare to oooh, and aahhh, because this little girl is just adorable!

Meet Miss Indie, a scrumptious chocolate labrador. I had the pleasure of photographing her and her Mum Melissa on the Gold Coast recently (she’s a lot bigger now..why do they have to grow so fast!) Melissa works for the RSPCA, an organisation that I am proud to have an association with, so she is used to being surrounded by gorgeous animals. I think Indie takes the cake though (or the bone?) She’s definately Mummy’s girl, enjoy these gorgeous images.   Sx

Raniga Family – portrait shoot

This lovely family had a gorgeous family portrait shoot done at The Spit on the Gold Coast, just before 2 year Ayaan was due to have his first ever haircut. A tradition that they follow is  to have a big celebration once the first haircut is done, so we made the most of Ayaan’s beautiful curls (not to mention those big brown eyes!)

We had amazing skies to end the portrait session, and beautiful soft colours for the rest of their gorgeous images. Enjoy these   Sx

Billie and Izzy

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these cheeky monkeys before (Click here ) Miss Billie was only a newborn at the time, and Izzy entertained us all with her cheeky personality. 6 months on, and Billie is every bit as adorable as her big sister. It’s no secret that 6 months is my favourite baby age to photograph, and Bille was so so cute with her many expressions and beautiful smile!

Alicia now has a gorgeous 16×24″  Black and White Canvas Wall Print of her baby girl to remind her of this special time.  Enjoy this cute cute cute shoot!   Sx

Beach shoot – Coolangatta

We got off to a windy, rainy start with this lovely family portrait session, and almost had to reschedule. But we persevered and got some amazing shots! Little family on the beach

This is definately one of my fave  shoots from this year…Little  Jack was just too adorable! It was such a lovely afternoon on the beach at Miami when we did this family portrait shoot, the clouds were amazing! And a rainbow too for an added bonus! Tank the dog got in on the action, and the results speak for themselves…stunning. Would love to meet this lovely family again soon (as a family of 4!)     Sx

An extended family shoot

When my good friends Mel and Atsuto told me they would have both of their parents together on the Gold Coast to celebrate the birth of beautiful baby Maisie, I jumped at the chance of doing a shoot for them!

Atsuto’s parents came from Japan for a visit and made the most of their time on the Gold Coast spending time with their 3 gorgeous granddaughters. These girls are sooo delightful, and little Maisie was such a good baby. These kids are obviously used to being in front of the camera…Atsuto and Mel are both fantastic professional photographers, so I’m sure it was nice for them to actually be in front of the camera for a change. Enjoy this lovely family portrait shoot   Sx

The Faheys – Family Portrait Shoot

It was such a pleasure doing this family portrait session for the Fahey Family.

We headed to one of my favourite spots on the Gold Coast, Pizzey Park, and couldn’t go wrong with the mix of our surroundings, with this VERY photogenic family. As the sun came down, we shot around the trees which added some lovely golden highlights to the images. These guys now have some beautiful canvas wall prints for their home from this lovely shoot. Enjoy these    Sx

Another lovely family at The Spit

Here’s another lovely family at The Spit on the Gold Coast…I really love shooting here, there’s so many great spots to use.

Alicia’s beautiful girls were amazing on the day, and 3 month old Lola braved the chilly wind and was such a good baby! I’m sure these guys will cherish their beautiful family portraits as we’ve captured their girls at such lovely ages. Enjoy   Sx

Jenny and her family had a family portrait session done last year, so it was great to see them all again, plus a few little additions! Miss Izzie absolutely stole the show and provided us with lots of laughs!

An extended family shoot – Gold coast

We got some beautiful shots of them all at The Spit on the Gold Coast, and Andre and Trixie now have a gorgeous big canvas wall print amongst other products, from their lovely portrait shoot with their children and their families.

Enjoy this lovely extended family shoot.   Sx

A Currumbin Wedding – Christie and Scott

It was such a pleasure to shoot Christie and Scott’s beautiful wedding at Currumbin.

The day was stunning!  Christie and the girls were very relaxed getting ready, and Christie’s details and styling were gorgeous. There were so many little details that were special and unique, including the antique  cameo brooch which was fixed to her boquet. Scott’s great grandfather gave this special piece to his own fiance’ and it has been passed down through the generations, with Scott’s Mum Jenni also wearing it on her own wedding day, given to her by Scott’s great grandmother.

The boys got ready just next door to the ceremony location , which was at Len Wort Park near the beach. Thankfully the little bit of rain we had just before the beautiful bride arrived didn’t last, and Christie and Scott were married under blue skies amongst their family and friends, some of who came all the way from the UK and all around Australia to see these two get married. As Christie and Scott had met the night that Scott was wearing a band t-shirt of the Smiths, it was only fitting that she would walk down the aisle on the arm of her Mum to a Smiths song (“please please let me  get what I want”)

Amazing styling by Inspired by Love Events ensured that the funky vintage vibe was established, and guest sipped on cool drinks and champagne, while congratulating the gorgeous couple. We then made use of the amazing car for photographs, (a 1961 Cadillac) before heading over to the park for more photos by the lake and trees. Thankfully I got the shot I had been envisioning all day, Scott and Christie walking along the sand dunes with those amazing clouds, before the newlyweds headed to their reception at the Currumbin Surf Club to celebrate.

Congrats guys, may married life be everything that you hope for.    Sx

A New Zealand Wedding – Myra and Chris

When my good friends Myra and Chris asked me to be their wedding photographer in New Zealand, I was thrilled..of course! Not only was I going to see New Zealand for the first time, but I was going to capture a wedding that I knew was going to have it all…gorgeous couple, gorgeous location, beautiful styling, lovely guests, and a chance for me to catch up with some of the old Camera House crew while we holidayed in NZ.

Chris and Myra met in their last year of High School (they were at the same school but had never met or seen each other until then) In Myra’s words..”We just fell in love based purely on enjoying each others company.”

Chris and his best man Marc chilled out by the beach on the morning of the wedding, with perfect weather, and no nerves in sight for Chris…he was too busy playing with his new toy (a vintage polaroid camera)

Myra looked stunning..naturally… and got ready at her parent’s home with some help from her bridesmaid Leah and her family. Myra’s detail were gorgeous, and her jewelled wedding bouquet was custom ordered from overseas.

The couple’s heartfelt ceremony took place at the stunning Bridgewater Country Estate in Auckland. Myra and Chris fell in love with this venue on first seeing it, and knew straight away that they wanted to celebrate their day there.

There was no-one happier than me to see my friends seal the deal with a kiss on the steps of the little chapel….these guys are meant for each other! We then walked around the beautiful gardens and found some gorgeous spots to have photos before their lovely reception took place . The room was decorated with a lovely vintage theme, and the custom m&ms were a sneaky suprise from Myra’s sister who bought them over in her luggage from the USA!

Chris’s good mate Chris (Sharpey) was the MC for the night, where the speeches kept everyone entertained (and a little teary!)

The beautiful cake was designed by the lovely bride herself! (beautiful AND clever!!!) Myra was overwhelmed to see her creation made to perfection, with the cake makers placing a small ruby made of icing on the back of the cake, a unique way to symbolise the beautiful ruby that is set in the engagement ring Chris gave Myra the day he proposed.

Enjoy these beautiful collection of images, which I think sum up the day perfectly..lots of love, and lots of laughs. Thankyou Myra and Chris for allowing me to be a part of your day   Sxx

Family Shoot – Miami

I first photographed little Elijah a year ago with his Mum and Dad at Burleigh Beach. He was adorable then, and even cuter this time around! Those expressions are just too cute, I love photographing him!  Have a look at  Elijah, May and Ben’s shoot here.

This time around the whole family got together for a portrait session at Pizzey park on the Gold Coast, where we made the most of all of our surroundings there. No wonder it’s one of my favourite places to shoot every spot looks amazing.

All of the images are just gorgeous, have a look!    S x

February 11, 2014 - 8:36 am

Jean Aalbregt - What a lovely happy family. Little Elijah is certainly the centre of attention – he is a very cute little boy who is obviously loved very much! Great work Stacey.

Family Shoot – Currumbin Beach

This was one of my last portrait shoots for 2014, and it was gorgeous.

Taken at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast, Israel and her family are too cute. These kiwis sure know how to make beautiful kids….I had the pleasure of capturing Israel’s sister Aisha and her family earlier in the year..have a look here

Yes, too cute for words, enjoy these.          Sx

Little Hamish

Meet little Hamish…3 months old and cute as a button.

This lovely family portrait shoot took place around Kiley and Owen’s property in picturesque St Helens in Tasmania. Even Pete the dog managed to get in on the action  (although Kiley told me he normally hates having his photo taken, he was only too happy to jump into my shots at the last minute..very funny.) Little Hamish gave us some beautiful smiles at the end of our shoot when we were all done and (almost) packed away. It’s almost like babies know when you’ve put your camera away and they can relax and have fun! Luckily I captured those moments at the end..a very cute way to end the shoot.

Enjoy these….Sx

December 17, 2013 - 4:23 am

Jean Aalbregt - Wow Stacey, what wonderful memories you have created for people to keep forever. I am your greatest fan of course. xx

Frankie – 6 months old

Rene and Dan are friends of mine, and I first did a shoot for them when Abi was just 6 months old. Now she’s all grown up and has the sweetest little sister Frankie (omg, those dimples!!)

We did this gorgeous shoot on the Gold Coast with the threat of rain hovering over us, but we got some very, very cute shots, and avoided the rain! I really love the picnic idea as props can really add to a portrait shoot. I’m always open to any suggestions or ideas you may have for your portrait session..we are only limited by our imaginations!

Enjoy these!    Sx

A girl, her man, and her dog.

I was so excited in the lead up to Teika, Matt and Bentley’s portrait shoot. Teika and I had scouted locations, and planned out what we were going to do for weeks. When Teika found the perfect indian headress to use in her shoot, we really got excited! Our locations were in the beautiful Currumbin Valley (a private residence that just so happened to have amaaazing spots to use every angle you turned, PLUS, a beautiful, friendly horse who was more than happy to pose for us…awesome…) and rock pools.

When I got Teika on her own, she was the perfect model. We even got some sizzling shots just for Matt’s eyes ..! She also wanted to include her furbaby Bentley in the shots, and the results were stunning. There were sooo many favourites from this shoot, too many to include. But here’s a taste of what we captured over 2 shoots in beautiful Currumbin. Enjoy these! A little different from my usual shoots, I loved every second of new locations, new ideas and being able to get nice and creative!   Sx

Family Portrait Shoot – Gold Coast

We didn’t have to go far to shoot Jo and Manning’s lovely family portrait session…these were taken just behind their property on the beautiful Gold Coast.

I was spoilt for choice for cool spots to shoot as we walked around, making the most of the afternoon light amongst the trees and lake. These guys were such a lovely family to work with…I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed capturing them.   Sx

Schrammel Family Shoot – The Spit

Aisha (like a lot of Mums) had been meaning to have a professional portrait shoot done of her family for a while, since their last ones had been when their youngest was only a baby. When she came to the studio to view the images a week later, I nearly had to bring her tissues, she was blown away and overcome by just how gorgeous her family looked! Well, it’s not hard when they all as cute as that!

We did their family portrait shoot at The Spit on the Gold Coast, and we made the most of that beautiful golden light when it was peeping through the trees. It was definately 3 year old Calais who stole the show though…cute as a button with flowers in her hair and the cheekiest, cutest smile…. totally adored by her Daddy and big brothers, she’s definately the apple of everyone’s eye. Enjoy this shoot of this lovely family   Sx

Family Shoot – Pizzey Park

Here’s another gorgeous family portrait shoot, captured at one of my favourite places …Pizzey Park on the Gold Coast.

This is Kobi, Corrine and Damien, chillin out on a lovely winter’s afternoon. Kobi was more than happy to play and run, and just be a boy! Lots of energy and how cute are those curls! Another lovely family session, special memories to keep forever! Enjoy   Sx

Couple shoot x2 – The Spit

Kerstin organised to have a lovely portrait shoot done while her sister Stef was up on holiday from Melbourne with her boyfriend, so we headed to the Spit on the Gold Coast to have some shots done on the beauitful beach there, and in the grass (my fave spot to shoot!) It’s still winter here, although you wouldn’t know it, what a gorgeous afternoon it was and we got some great combination shots of these lovely couples (including some great pics of Kerstin and Stef together, especially for Mum!!) Enjoy  these lovely images of Kerstin and Darcy, and Stef and Michael.    Sx

Family Shoot – On the beach

Another gorgeous family portrait shoot for you, this one done at The Spit on the Gold Coast. How cute, cute cute is little Jett!! This little dude stole the show, he has so much charisma it hurts!

Poor Dad Brett was suffering a bit at our shoot with lower back pain (sorry for making you sit so much Brett…) The results were worth it though…natural, happy, fresh photography of this extremely photogenic family!

Heidi and Brett, I am so glad you were so happy with the results from your beautiful shoot, and so nice to see that your enlarged images are already hanging proudly on the wall!  Enjoy   Sx

Winter Family Shoot – The Spit

You wouldn’t believe it was a winter’s shoot on the beach (although it was chilly) looking at these shoots of Joely and Drew and their two gorgeous boys.

We did their lovely family portrait shoot at The Spit on the Gold Coast, which has so many great spots to use. These guys were naturals in front of the camera…very relaxed, fun and chilled out.

I’m sure that I will run into Drew around the traps in the future…he’s a successful DJ here on the coast and works for United DJ’s of the Gold Coast.

Joely is a dancer (can’t you tell, look at that pointed toe!!), and runs Joely Jackson Studio of Dance. It was such a pleasure to record these special memories for such a lovely family. Enjoy these.    Sx

Pregnancy Shoot – The Spit

Emma and Luke wanted to get some shots done to celebrate the impending arrival of their baby (they’re having a boy!!). The Spit on the Gold Coast was a perfect spot for them to have a portrait shoot, as they both love the water and scuba diving, and it’s a spot they go to regularly.

Emma was glowing, and even braved the high tides and cool water to get some shots done in her bikini (which she totally rocked!) These guys are a lovely couple, and I wish them every happiness with their new baby. Enjoy these   Sx

Lexi’s Cake Smash Shoot – Happy Birthday!

Boy, did we have to be patient on the lead up to Miss Lexi’s First Birthday Cake Smash Shoot!!

Due to our crazy Gold Coast weather this year, we had to reschedule a record 3 times before we finally did Lexi’s gorgeous shoot. Her beautiful mum Misha and I were both way too excited about this shoot, with gorgeous props, clothes, cake and balloons organised ….if only the weather was so easy to get sorted!!!  As you can see Miss Lexi had a ball celebrating her first birthday. I first photographed Miss Lexi in March last year…..I’m sure she was having a great time in utero….ha ha…..you can view Misha’s lovely pregnancy shoot here

We had both expected a crazy mess when we sat the cake in front of her, but she was so delicate with it, we didn’t think it would get smashed at all!!

Well done to Misha for making the cake and for the very cool styling. Other special thanks have to go to the lady next door for providing assistance with Lexi and helping out while we were setting up!! Hooray for neighbours!

Oh, and I know this is a long blog, but I just had too many favourites!

Pregnancy Shoot – Pizzey Park

Wow, what a gorgeous shoot, isn’t Sarah stunning with just a week to go in her pregnancy when we did this photo shoot!

These were done at Pizzey Park at Miami, one of my favourite places to shoot. We started their portrait shoot near the dog exercise area near the lake, where little Rome was kept entertained by a VERY big dog (a great dane the size of a small horse!) Luckily he loves dogs and was in his element. Sarah and Garth have since welcomed a baby girl into the world, and I can’t wait to meet her soon for her newborn shoot. If she’s anything like the rest of the family she will be just gorgeous!

Enjoy these.   Sx
